Facebook
Facebook is a social network which was established in 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg and his roommates and initially it was only for use by Harvard students. Now Facebook is one of the most popular social networks. In this composition I will give some arguments in favour but also against Facebook.
On the one hand Facebook is a nice way to stay in contact with friends or relatives all over the world and this for free. You only need to have internet connection and an account on Facebook and then you can find the people you are looking for if they also have an account. In addition, with a social network you always can stay up to date and be informed about recent activities of your Facebook friends.
But on the other hand there are also lots of arguments against social networks. One of them is that it could increase internet addiction. Countless hours are wasted even when nobody is online to chat with. Then, if you have nothing better to do, you may find yourself doing hourly checks. Another negative aspect is that everybody could see your private information and thieves could know when you´re not at home.
In conclusion, it is important to think before you post something on your wall, and not to post private things like where you live or when nobody is at your home.
