George Washington – The first president of the United States of America
From 1789 to 1797 was George Washington the first prestdent of the United States of America. He was a son from a very rich landed proprietor and he was born in Mount Vernon in Virginia. Later he was a officer and he married Martha Dandridge Custis in 1757. Because of this weeding he was one of the richest men in Virginia. So he bought a very big plantion in Mount Vernon. 1754 was he not longer a officer he became to an major. In1755 he became to a commander- in- chief of the american armee. In 1781 he won the war against the Britan in Yorktown. With this win the independence war was finished. In 1783 the Britan signed the agreement and since now the Americans are free. At the 4. Feburary 1789 he was chosen to be the first president of the USA. In 1792 he was chosen a second time.1797 he was chosen a third time, but he declined ( he was to old).
