Today I want to tell you something about the Novel
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer.
I’ll start with the author.
Stephenie Meyer was born December 24, 1973.
She wrote Twilight and its sequels New Moon and Eclipse.
Meyer grew up in Phoenix, Arizona with a large family. She has five siblings: Emily, Heidi, Paul, Seth and Jacob. She "borrowed" her siblings' names for use in her Twilight novels, most notably for the character of Jacob Black, who shares the same name as her brother, but wanst named after him.
Meyer says that the idea for Twilight came to her in a dream about a girl and a sparkling vampire sitting in a meadow, the transcript of which is now Chapter 13 of the book.
2. Now sth. About the Story
The Story begin, when Bella has to move to the rainy Forks to live with her dad. She is miserable about it, but she thinks it is the best, after her mother married again.
Everything gets more interesting when she meets and feels a obsessiv, overwhelming attraction to Edward, a pale-skinned, beautiful classmate. She is confused by his seemingly cold and mean attitude towards her.
But then he saves her from a car accident that could have killed her, and certain questions need to be answered.
Bella soon discovers the reason behind his distant manner - he is a vampire, and he longs for her blood - and not just that. But she can't help it, she's already in love with him.
Later it turns out that the feeling is mutual, but then something happens to mess things up, almost completely.

Bella Swan:
Bella (short for Isabella) moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Forks to be with her father Charlie after her mother, Renee, remarried. Settling into high school life in Forks, Bella is drawn to fellow student Edward before she finds out he’s a vampire. Once she learns the truth, Bella decides being with a vampire is something she can handle.
Edward Cullen
Edward was born in 1901 and became a vampire in 1918. Beyond beautiful, Edward has the special ability to read people’s minds…with one exception. He can not hear what Bella is thinking.
Jacob Black
Jacob’s father, Billy, and Bella’s dad, Charlie, have been close for years, and Charlie considers the Blacks to be part of his family. Jacob goes to a different school and is younger than Bella, but the age difference doesn't matter to him once he becomes totally infatuated with her after they spend time together at a beach party on the reservation where he lives. Jacob is a Quileute Indian who breaks the rules and shares with Bella legends about a truce between his werewolf ancestors and the ‘cold ones’ - the vampire family, the Cullens.
